THE EXPERIENCE

Why is Barcelona House an experience accommodation?

We offer a specially designed accommodation and a series of other services in order to know an authentic neighborhood. With the accommodation, some tickets will be given to you. Those tickets can be exchanged for traditional products in certain shops of the neighborhood which appear in a map in each apartment. Thanks to these maps and tickets you can experience the neighborhood, its people and the local products and services.

Why would I be interested in such an offer?

Considering this might not be your first stay in Barcelona, we offer an accommodation in a real neighborhood of the city in order to feel like a citizen for a few days.
Exchanging the tickets , you will be able to know the neighborhood, the people and its products.
Besides, you could get basic traditional products, such as bread or tomatos, while learning a catalan recipe such as ‘pa amb tomaquet’. Also, you could get an ‘Orujo shot’ while getting to know a traditional bar life.
The apartments are also specially designed with different themes which will take the guests into an uncontextualized atmosphere.

GENERAL

How much does it cost?

In order to know the prices according to your needs, you may fill in your dates and number of people in our booking calendar through the availability links from our front page. The prices will automatically be shown without contacting by email nor phone. You may consult our prices any time without booking.

Is a deposit required?

In order to offer our guests a quality apartment, we are forced to ask for a 300€ cash deposit when checking in. The deposit is the guarantee that the apartment is in well conditions before and after your stay. If the apartment is returned in the same conditions when checking in , the deposit will be returned when checking out.

Is it possible to get 6 individual beds?

We are sorry to inform that even being a three room apartment, there are two double beds and two single beds only. There’s no possibility of adding any more beds. May you need more than three independent rooms, we suggest to book both apartments since they are in the same building.

BOOKING

How do we book?

After checking out the prices in our home page form, you may click on AVAILABILITY and fill in the booking form. We will check out the availability for your dates and will send and email back with the response and paypal link. Then, your booking will be blocked for you 5 hours in order to do the payment.  Only after the payment, the booking will be confirmed. Not all browsers will display the booking calendar and form correctly. If you are having problems, please proceed with your reservation through any of the following links:

 

How do we pay?

After checking the prices and filling in the form, we will send you a pay pal link in order to do payment within 5 hours. Only after the payment, the booking will be confirmed.

Is it possible to cancel?

We are sorry to inform that it is not possible to cancel the bookings.

What do we do if there’s changes in the number of people staying?

If there are extra people, the booking and payment must be updated. If this information is not updated, we are sorry to inform that the deposit will be lost completely.

CHECKING IN

How do we check in?

Check in time starts at 16:00h. Probably we would already have other guests who are arriving to other apartments that day. The best is to confirm by phone or email your arrival time to the apartment in order organize at info@golocalbcn.com or calling +34 620109320

What if my flight is late at night?

If you arrive after 23:00h, we will wait at the apartment at the time that we had confirmed by email. However, due to night working hours, we will have to charge 40€ extra.

What if my flight delays?

If there are changes or delays on your arrival, please contact with us again to set your new arrival time. We will wait for you 20 minutes at the apartment if your arrival time has already been set. If you do not arrive during this period of time, please send us an sms to set your new check in time. Remember, we have other guests who already set their check in time for that day too.

How do we pay the deposit?

The 300€ deposit must to be paid in cash when you arrive to the apartment. We do not accept ID´s, passports nor credit cards as a guarantee for deposit.

The deposit will be returned when checking out if the apartment is in the same conditions that when the checking in.

CHECKING OUT

When is check out time?

Check out time is before 12:00 h. We have to clean the apartment for the next guests who are arriving that day. Please set you check out time.

If your flight is during the afternoon or in the evening, there are lockers at Sants Train Station and Barcelona Nord Bus Station where you may keep your luggage.

Are pets allowed in the apartment?

We are sorry to inform that pets are not allowed in this apartment.

Is it possible to smoke at the apartment?

Please note that these are NO smoking apartments.

How do I get to the apartment?

from barcelona airport: Barcelona Airport “El Prat” lies 12 km south of the city on the coast. There is a tourist information desk where you may ask for maps. From here, you can take a bus, train or taxi.

BUS:The bus is called the “AEROBUS” , it is blue. There is a stop in front of each of the 3 terminal buildings. This bus operates from the Airport to Plaza de Catalunya. From  Plaza Universitat/Passeig de Gracia take the bus Nº 47 and get off at Industria/Cartagena.TRAIN:  LINE C10 AEROPORT- BARÇA ESTACIÓ. There is a bridge between the train station and the terminal B.

TAXI: Barcelona taxis are yellow and black. There are taxi ranks outside of each terminal building. The journey into the city takes around 30 minutes and costs around of 30 euros.

From girona airport: Girona Airport is located 85 kilometres away from Barcelona. From the airport you can take a bus to Barcelona city. The ticket cost 10 euros approximately. The travel takes 1 hour and 10 minutes. You will arrive to Barcelona Nord Bus Station centre. From there, take a taxi or buses numbers 19  from Passeig Sant Joan/Ali Bei and get off at Industria/Cartagena. The apartment is 1 minute. Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes.

From reus airport: Reus Airport is approximately 110 km from Barcelona. From Reus Airport you can take a bus which takes goes to Barcelona city. You will arrive at Sants Bus Station. It takes 90 minutes. Then switch by Metro line 5 to Horta direction and get off at Sagrada Familia. Take the exit Plaza Sagrada Familia. From there, you should to walk. The apartment is 5 minutes away. Arrival and departure in Barcelona: Estacion de Sants. Time: 2 hoursby car: If you are coming by car, it is difficult to set a check in time because it depends of the traffic in the highways. Please be in contact with us again one hour before arriving to the apartment. So we can be there waiting for you on time. This apartment does not have its own parking place. You can not park you car in this area since is restricted for neighbours. However, there are private parkings in the areas.  The paking fee costs 2,00 euros/hour approximately.

by train: If you are coming by train, you will arrive at “Sants Estació”, then switch by Metro Line 5 Horta direction and get off at Hospital de Sant Pau. Take the exit to Carrer Dos de Maig. The apartment is across the street.

How do I move in Barcelona?

The best way to move in the city is by metro. Besides, you can see the metro station Hospital de Sant Pau (L5) from the apartment’s  balcony. Barcelona has 5 Metro lines and 2 urban lines (FGC). A 10 trip ticket costs less than 8€. You may buy them in machines payment either by cash or credit card. There are many languages to choose when using the machines.
